I killed what I saw.
It seems like this population is right on the verge of becoming unmanageable.
On the margin of a dense hardwood forest. Individuals under the canopy are deeper green, largely because they are not being constantly sprayed with dust by passing trucks.
Documented population. See red flowering individuals in nearby observations. Note the differences in stem morphology between this species and Monarda clinopodia.
