Ph.D. Candidate in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Univeristy of California, Santa Cruz
I am a plant lover to my very core. I am particularly passionate about California's unique and delightfully diverse flora, but I certainly don't discriminate in my love of plants based on geography. I am always excited for opportunities to improve as a naturalist and love the iNat community for this reason!
In my research, I am passionate about using a combination of traditional observational and experimental field methods and cutting-edge genomic techniques to investigate plant ecology and evolution. I currently study a pair of recently diverged, neotropical spiral gingers (Costus allenii and C. villosissimus).
