The Natural Resources Department is responsible for managing over 30,000 acres of conservation properties in Manatee County. Places like Robinson Preserve, Duette Preserve, and Emerson Point Preserve are all maintained by this Department. Staff monitor air and water quality and enforce hazardous waste and mining regulations, providing for the protection of the County's natural resources. The Department also features monthly opportunities to enjoy and learn in Manatee County's preserves through a variety of classes, workshops, and volunteer workdays.
Preserves are open from sunrise to sunset.
