Hello.

I love nature. I'm a music teacher with a background in Jazz Trumpet.

I am mostly a birder and am proud to be a member of the San Joaquin Audubon Society.

I mostly enjoy nature that has as little sign of human disturbance possible. This leads me on adventures with my truck on levees, kayaking un-populated areas, or hiking (safely) through the brush. Jumping into the rhythm of the wild is such an energizing experience and puts me in a trance that satisfies me in the most primitive ways.

Observing birds has opened me up to the plants that support them and the animals that they feed on. These correlations fascinate me. It has led me to transplant a lot of wild plants into my very-small, pond in my backyard that has come to be a bird haven.

I am passionate about conservation, education, and photography, but my real passion lies being with my family.

Please correct me, respectfully, if you see any errors I make.

Please reach out if you would like to join me kayaking, hiking, or exploring.

Thank you and happy trails,
Phil
