PACIFIC GROVE >> Every day this month, Paul Fenwick and Karl Bardon could be spotted at the tip of Point Piños, each looking out at the ocean through a scope and holding a tally clicker in hand.
Fenwick and Bardon are both professional bird watchers affiliated with the Monterey Audubon Society. Every fall for the past two years, they've parked on the Point to identify and count the thousands of birds along the Monterey Bay coastline during their annual southern migration.
