Started off at Alviso Marina but I got nervous about the park closing at sunset. I was running out of daylight so to be safe I drove a little further down the road and found the Wildlife Reserve building. This was just a magical evening tucked into a fascinating corner of the South Bay that I had never visited before. Lovely.
Much larger flock was nearby just out of focus but this smaller grouping was comparatively photogenic.
Saw a couple dozen of these shovelers dabbling in formation right at sundown.
