After a (for us) torrential downpour, complete with thunder and hail, I went for a walk this last evening.
Was trying to photograph two of them when the third photobombed. Heard the characteristic dove wing sounds as they took off.
Someone's cat, out in the after-rain evening. Looked too well-fed to be a stray.
Don't know enough about plants to tell ferns from fern mosses... the woody bits seem more ferny, though?
I see mule deer in this park all the time.
Observed the one robin pecking at a worm, until he was distracted by another robin.
More of these little ferny guys, with my hand for scale.
A worm probably driven out by the rain, that a robin was pecking at before another robin distracted him. It was still alive.
